Reason?
There's a problem with the permission from the GPK KoKu to have the agenda. Most probably of the Thailand visitors we're having this Saturday. Detailed reasons are not available.

Apologies to the parents who have found this very inconvenient. Plus this is the second time this has happened. To boy scouts, if your parents need an explanation, you may contact the PLs or Seniors.

The next time the date has been decided, I assure you that we will verify it by ALL FACTORS. So the next time there is a Parents' Meeting, do not hesitate to attend it as it is still important for you to know and for us to tell on what's going to happen throughout  the year.

Put it this way, once there is parents' support, the chances of administration problems can be reduced.

So since you have been informed and this post is also up, don't mistakenly go to school on Saturday.

Well, the post isn't just about that. About a month ago, I promised to post a guide to know your seniors. I have done the Form 5s' one but the Form 3s are still in progress.

Parents' Meeting , a new song and a little bit of cooking com

The parents meeting, the one that was to be postponed (apologies), has been decided. Its on the 27th of February. As this is an EARLY notice, inform your parents NOW so the chances of them not coming due to a tight schedule can be decreased.

For a month, the same theme song (Let Me Take You There) has been playing, so there's a new one (My Time Is Now) for a change.

Well at least to the Chinese community it is, to the others HAPPY HOLIDAYS.

Regarding that, I'm informing you that there will be neither troop meeting nor agendas for a week.
So have a long rest and make sure you sharpen your mind and skills for future preparation.

As for the future agenda, it is not officially decide or announced, so I will not post it here.

COOKING COMPETITION REPORT

Date: 6^th February 9, 2010

Agenda: Cooking Competition

Venue: Quadrangle and the area beside the ICT lab

Attendance: PL Dev Ananthraj, PS Ahmad Nabil Al-Hilmi, Rct. Nadhir, Rct. Shazwan, Rct. Shazmil, Rct Chooi

Absentees: Rct. Rahul, Rct. Eashwar, Rct. Thejas

0730 hours: Boy scouts arrived in their full mufti. PLs inspected the items that were brought.

0815 hours: TL Iqbal fell in the troop at the quadrangle. PLs gave the patrols reports and were given attendance and attire push-ups.

0830 hours: The boy scouts formed a double horse-shoe. TL Iqbal told that the agenda is beside the ICT lab.

0845 hours: All boy scouts broke off and took all the items to the place. Eagle Patrol’s boy scouts took all things to the area.

0900 hours: Eagle Patrol had managed two start two fires and they were maintained by Rct. Chooi. Rct Shazwan and Rct. Shazmil began preparing the appetizer which was sausage and egg rolls. PS Nabil and Rct. Nadhir were boiling the water for the spaghetti to be cooked.

0930 hours: The appetizer was completed. PS Nabil had begun cooking the spaghetti while PL Dev was mixing the batter for the fried eggplant.

1000 hours: The eggplant was fried and the spaghetti was done. The spaghetti sauce was now being prepared. Rct Shazmil was marinating the chicken with Kentucky flour for the second side dish. Rct Shazwan was beginning to prepare the patrol special, chickpea soup.

1030 hours: The spaghetti sauce was done, completing the main dish. The chicken was fried one by one by Rct. Chooi. The chickpea soup was now being boiled over the second fire.

1045 hours: The fried chicken and the chickpea soup were ready. The dessert was sago pudding, so the sago was sweetened and was added mangoes and grapes. Finally the drink was prepared with mixing sparkling water and fresh orange juice.

1145 hours: All dishes were done with the presentation. Eagle patrol trained its performance while waiting for the inspection to begin.

1215 hours: The inspection began with Eagle Patrol. Eagle Patrol presented its food and were commented by the seniors. The inspection ended with the performance.

1340 hours: TL Iqbal fell in the troop. The winners were announced from the second runner up which was Eagle Patrol, first runner up, Falcon Patrol and the winner was Lion Patrol.

1350 hours: The troop song was sung and boy scouts were dismissed. The area was cleaned before all went back.

Boy scouts/Parents,

Unfortunately the Parents' Meeting that was planned on Saturday has been canceled due to disagreements and misunderstandings between teachers and students, and it has affected this gathering.
On behalf of the troop, my apologies to parents who have found this extremely inconvenient. Please continue to support the troop as this is quite a minor problem.

But if you thought that there will be no Parents' Meeting at all, then you're mistaken. The meeting will be held on some other Saturday on the month of February.

For further updates, PLs will inform you. Make sure the permission slips are brought this Saturday.

A COMPETITION THAT REALLY 'COOKS' IT UP!

The second agenda of the year, Cooking Competition will be held this Saturday, on the 6th of February together with the Parents' Meeting as I said in the last post.

Cooking Competition
Date : 6th February 2010
Time : 8 am - 2 pm
Venue : Cooking will be done beside the ICTL lab near the Form 1 block.
Attire : Full mufti & bring PE (PJ) attire

Parents' Meeting
Date : 6th February 2010
Time : Starts at 9 am and ends before the Cooking Competition is done
Venue : Will be notified - possibly in Dewan Kuliah or the Dewan Warisan

INFORM your parents. This is important for you as they will be explained more on what we are planning for the rest of the year.
The permission slips will be given out on Thursday. Show them to your parents and have it filled up.
